These should be auto-generated from your heading styles, not typed manually — manual lists routinely go out of sync with final page numbers after edits.
Pagination
Roman numerals for preliminary pages (abstract, acknowledgements, table of contents), switching to Arabic numerals from Chapter 1 onward, is the standard convention across HEC-aligned templates.
Reference list formatting
Match the citation style your department specifies exactly — APA, MLA, IEEE, or Vancouver each have distinct reference-list punctuation and ordering rules that a generic citation generator often gets partially wrong.
Appendices and annexures
Number and label appendices consistently, and reference each one at least once in the body text — an appendix never referenced in-text is a common examiner comment.
